IntelliCentrics Launches 5 Rings Vendor Award Program to Recognize Representatives’ Vigilance
Award honors vendor representatives who contribute to patient safety through compliance to hospital policies, customer service and pursuit of excellence
DALLAS, Texas – February 5, 2014 – IntelliCentrics, Inc., the leading provider of resources and tools that simplify regulatory compliance, today announced the winners of its first annual 5 Rings Vendor Award Program. The program recognizes the top five outstanding vendor representatives (out of its database of nearly 500,000 ReptraxTM users, nationwide) whose performance best combines great productivity with compliance, customer service and concern for patient safety.
Every day, thousands of pharmaceutical, medical device representatives and service personnel come into hospitals and into contact with patients. Hospitals need their vendors’ cooperation in complying with policies and credentialing requirements in order to maintain a safe environment.
“The best hospitals are committed to creating a safe environment for both their employees and patients, whether it’s developing protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases or following clinical best practices. But in order to be successful, they need each person who conducts business in the hospital to share that vision of vigilance,” said Mike Sheehan, CEO of IntelliCentrics. “A safe environment begins with each individual that crosses the threshold — doing the right thing, day in and out. These five individuals have risen to the top and demonstrated an unprecedented level of compliance and commitment, and we want to recognize them as role models for others throughout the industry.”
Vendor representatives selected have proven their commitment to patient safety and customer service, often making multiple visits to their hospital clients every day to ensure they have the products and services they need. They will participate in the Reptrax Top 5 Invitational (March 6-9, 2014) in Dallas, Texas to discuss best practices in vendor credentialing and trends in regulatory compliance.
The winners for the 2013 5 Rings Vendor Award are:
• Michael Hannah, Medtronic, Inc., Memphis, Tennessee
• Scott Helfrich, Globus Medical, Inc., Raleigh, North Carolina
• Greg Novack, Aesculap, Inc., St. Louis, Missouri
• Tony Smith, Surgical Innovations, a Distributor for Orthofix and Novabone, Tulsa, Oklahoma
• Linda Suriano, RN, Coram Specialty Infusion, El Paso, Texas
In addition to complying with hospital safety policies over the course of the year, winners received high scores from their hospital clients in areas such as customer service, subject-matter expertise and concern for patient safety.
